About the Course

Reinventing Project-Based Learning is designed for K-12 educators interested in project-based learning and the digital tools and environments that transform the teaching and learning enterprise. During this hands-on course you will design a rigorous, technology-rich project for your students. You will also experience pbl as a student when we launch a class project of our own. Course readings include the new ISTE book Reinventing Project-Based Learning: Your Field Guide to Real-World Projects in the Digital Age and additional edublogs and journal articles. Guest speakers will join us both on-site and through Webinars.

  • A grounding in constructivist pedagogy and principles of project-based learning
  • Instructional design capabilities you can transfer to any learning experience you plan
  • Technical fluency in using digital tools, including those of the Web 2.0 variety
  • Ongoing access to professional learning communities both local and distributed
